Adding up her annual salary, bonus and multiple major endorsements as a record-breaking rookie with the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark earned US$ 11.1 million in 2024, making her the 10th highest-paid female athlete in the world.

Sportico released its annual rankings Wednesday, which revealed the15 highest-paid female athletes will earn an estimated US$ 221 million in 2024, up 27 percent from last year. Eleven athletes made at least $10 million, compared with six in 2023.

Topping the list for the second straight year was tennis star Coco Gauff with US$ 30.4 million from prize money and endorsements. Gauff is only the third woman in sports history to earn more than US$ 30 million in one year, joining fellow tennis players Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams.

Clark, the lone basketball player on the list, was paid an annual salary of US$ 76,535 by the Fever in 2024, but she made up the US$ 10 million difference by signing more than 10 commercial deals.

Nike is Clark's most lucrative endorsement, according to Sportico, an eight-year deal she signed in April worth more than US$ 3 million a year on average. Other companies partnering with Clark are Gatorade, State Farm, Panini, Wilson, Hy Vee, Xfinity, Gainbridge and Lilly.

Tennis players took up nine spots on the list of 15, with golf adding three. The remaining three were skier Eileen Gu, gymnast Simone Biles and Clark.
